POWDERMANIA !!!

Friday, February 2

The West Elk trails are snowed under with 2 to 3 feet of new snow in the past 10 days.  Snow fell all day today for an additional 3-4 inches.

The problem facing us — how to dig out.

Only one solution. We beamed the big “B” toward Eagle and Master Groomer Eric Boley (of Eric’s Loop fame) answered our distress call. Eric showed up at the snowy trailhead early this morning with his Ski-Doo drift buster.

Todd Kupka followed Eric around with the Arctic Cat and together they opened up all the trails. Tod Tibbetts opened up the trailhead and dug the groomer out of a 2-foot snow cave. Then he ran the groomer around Kay’s Loop and Hwy 819 to the trailhead.

Thank you Eric, Todd and Tod for donating your valuable time to opening up the West Elk trails!
