West Elk 2-6-16

Lots of sun and temps in the mid-20s at trailhead today. Hwy 819 and Kay’s Loop likely received 18-24 inches of snow this past week. Eric’s Loop got more like 24-30 inches.

Tod Tibbetts ran the ginzugroomer around Hwy 819, Kay’s Loop and Zeus’s Cutoff. He packed Eric’s Loop with the Bearcat because the snow is still too soft to run the ginzugroomer safely.

Remember you can help the groomers by rescuing buried stakes and posts and resetting them in the snow.

Happy trails!
