Trail Etiquette

photo302The trails were busy on Christmas Day with temps around 19 to 22 degrees at the trailhead.

West Elk trail users should adhere in general to the trail etiquette outlined here:  Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoe Etiquette.

Please. Be respectful. Share the trail. We groom the trails so they are wide enough for snowshoers AND skiers.

Snowshoers, if you see ski tracks on the trail, please avoid stomping them out and obliterating them.

Our trails are two-way traffic, remember to step aside and yield to downhill skiers.
