2_16_Dorthoy_View_SmallLots of People Out Enjoying Sunshine and Fresh Packed Trails

There was around 6″ of new snow through the week, but there were lots of people out using the trails during the week, so most of the trails were tracked.  Art Dahl, Edger Davidson and Tod Tibbetts ran snowmobiles on Hwy 819, Kay’s Loop and Eric’s Loop today to pack and smooth those trails.  It looked like a few people with snowshoes went around James’ Loop as well.  There are lots of tracks off into the woods where people did some off trail excursions.  The snow pack has firmed up a bit so it looks like in the woods people only sank in about 2 feet, even though the base is between 3 to 4 feet. The weather forecast is for similar temps, mid-30’s, but a bit more cloudy later in the day.  Any way you look at it, it should be a good day to get out tomorrow and enjoy the trails.
