Did you know? The temps are warmer up on the Flattops than down in the valley. The high today up on the trails was about 30 degrees.

Bruce Kime and Melissa DeHaan snowshoed James Loop for a little ways today. But they had to turn back because the snow was too deep. They said it will have to be done in several stages.

No one showed up to groom trails today so Tod and Peggy Tibbetts broke trail on Eric’s Loop. We will need two snowmobiles to pack it and we will need a bigger machine than the ones we have. So there’s a ski trail on Eric’s but it hasn’t been machine packed.

Today’s photos by Peggy Tibbetts. Breaking trail on Eric’s Loop. Enjoy!

It’s so beautiful up there now, blazing trails is a wonderful workout!

It really was beautiful. You can see the sky was pretty incredible. And yeah we got a workout. But we do have backcountry skis so they made a huge difference. The long hill at the end was a killer.
